The Coming Marketing Renaissance: Embracing Simple Strategies

Marketing is stale. It's become so prolific, it's part of our daily existence. But a renaissance is coming.

Renaissance is a French word that means rebirth. It was used during a period of time in Europe where there was a revival of Classical learning and wisdom. There were many cultural areas that were marked by this movement. Art, architecture, politics, and literature were just some of the disciplines that were seeking to break from the past and focus on new things.

And marketing? It's clear based on the case outlined in "Quiet Noise", that we are inundated with communication in today's culture. From social media to broadcast television and everywhere in between, there is a cacophony of noise that we can't escape.

We are longing to make sense of the chaos that surrounds us. We are looking for simplicity.

At our core, humans are creatures of simplicity, hardwired to seek clarity and ease. This isn't just a feeling; there's solid science to prove our natural leanings towards the uncomplicated. - Mike Peditto

Mike Peditto notes that there is science behind this urge. From evolutionary biology to comprehension, and decision-making to stress reduction, we are wired for simple.

Let's go back to the beginning and bring simple strategies back to marketing.
